Two-factor authentication (2FA) adds a second verification step when you log in, protecting your account even if your password is compromised.
Setting up 2FA #
- Go to Account → Security.
- Click Set Up Two-Factor Authentication.
- Open an authenticator app on your phone (Google Authenticator, Authy, 1Password, or similar).
- Scan the QR code shown on the screen, or enter the setup key manually.
- Enter the 6-digit code from your authenticator app to confirm setup.
- Save your backup codes somewhere secure β you’ll need them if you lose access to your authenticator app.
Logging in with 2FA #
After entering your email and password, you’ll be asked for your 6-digit authenticator code. Enter the current code from your app and click Verify.
Backup codes #
If you lose access to your authenticator app, use one of your backup codes instead of the 6-digit code. Each backup code can only be used once. Go to Account → Security to regenerate backup codes if you’ve used them all.
Disabling 2FA #
To turn off 2FA, go to Account → Security and click Disable Two-Factor Authentication. You’ll need to verify with your current authenticator code.
