How Do I Set Up Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)?

Two-factor authentication (2FA) adds a second verification step when you log in, protecting your account even if your password is compromised.

Setting up 2FA #

  1. Go to Account → Security.
  2. Click Set Up Two-Factor Authentication.
  3. Open an authenticator app on your phone (Google Authenticator, Authy, 1Password, or similar).
  4. Scan the QR code shown on the screen, or enter the setup key manually.
  5. Enter the 6-digit code from your authenticator app to confirm setup.
  6. Save your backup codes somewhere secure β€” you’ll need them if you lose access to your authenticator app.

Logging in with 2FA #

After entering your email and password, you’ll be asked for your 6-digit authenticator code. Enter the current code from your app and click Verify.

Backup codes #

If you lose access to your authenticator app, use one of your backup codes instead of the 6-digit code. Each backup code can only be used once. Go to Account → Security to regenerate backup codes if you’ve used them all.

Disabling 2FA #

To turn off 2FA, go to Account → Security and click Disable Two-Factor Authentication. You’ll need to verify with your current authenticator code.
